1. Daughter of Agriculture Assistant Directors clears UPSC examination, bags Rank 187.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results for Civil Services Examination 2021, on Monday. Sonali Singh Parmar, a resident of Sehore too, had her name on the list of selected candidates and has achieved an All India Rank of 187.

 

2. UGC cautions students against Periyar University's ODL programmes.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has warned students against taking admission in distance learning programmes offered by Periyar University in Tamil Nadu saying it does not recognise such courses offered by the varsity.

 

3. SC directs PCI to accept and process applications by new colleges.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) was directed by the Supreme Court on Tuesday to accept and process the applications of new pharmacy colleges which had approached the Delhi and Karnataka High Courts against a moratorium issued by the PCI.

 

4. Sustained attention paid to quality education for underprivileged: J&K LG.

On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that ‘sustained attention’ is being paid by the government to bring quality education to the underprivileged sections of society that were deprived of the rights for long.

 

5. IIT Kharagpur researchers develop method to predict the properties of crystalline materials.

Researchers from IIT Kharagpur in collaboration with the Indo-Korea Science and Technology Center (IKST) have now developed a method called CrysXPP to predict the properties of crystalline material through machine learning.
