5. Hindi Now Mandatory as Third Language for Classes 1–5 in
Maharashtra Under NEP 2020 Rollout.
Starting academic year 2025–26, Hindi will be mandatory as a third language for Classes 1 to 5 in Marathi and English-medium schools across Maharashtra, per the state's phase-wise rollout of the National Education Policy.
