MAHARASHTRA’S HIGHER and technical education department has decided to suggest reforms in the process followed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). 


2. Egypt bans face veil in schools for upcoming academic year.

The Egyptian government has decided to ban the wearing of the niqab (full-face veil) inside schools for the upcoming academic year, starting on September 30. The Minister of Education, Reda Hegazy, confirmed the decision and outlined new dress code guidelines.

The Madhya Pradesh government has reduced the eligibility criteria for providing laptops to Class XII students in state-run schools. Previously, students needed to score 75% or above to receive laptops, but now they will receive laptops if they score 60% or higher in their exams. 


5. IISc scientists develop new approach to potentially detect and kill cancer cells.

Scientists at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have developed hybrid nanoparticles made of gold and copper sulphide that have the potential to detect and kill cancer cells, particularly those in solid tumor masses.
