The Supreme Court on Monday refused to reduce the cut-off percentile for NEET super-specialty courses admission while stating that merit cannot be disregarded as doctors have to deal with a patient’s life.

The Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu has moved the Madras High Court challenging an order of the University grants Commission (UGC), which restrained it from carrying out admissions.
