1. CBSE Releases New Evaluation Criteria For 10th, 12th Board Exams 2024, Check Latest Paper Pattern.

The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the revised evaluation and assessment criteria for the year-end or the board examinations for classes 9 to 12. In order to frame the curriculum according to National Education Policy 2020, the board has released revised evaluation criteria that include a focus on competency-based education and hence the number of Competency Based Questions or questions that assess the application of concepts in real-life situations will be part of the question paper.


2. Jharkhand Bandh today Many private schools closed, security beefed up.

There are strict security arrangements in place in Ranchi in light of the Jharkhand bandh called by various organisations against the planning policy today. Most schools in the city will remain closed for the safety of the children, with some schools asking teachers to attend office work and others conducting online classes.


3. CUET-UG Application Window To Re-Open For 3 Days, No Syllabus Change.

The application window for CUET-UG will reopen for three days from Sunday following representations from students and there will be no change in the syllabus after rationalisation of NCERT textbooks, officials said. "Following requests from several students, we have decided to re-open the application portal for CUET-UG on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and it will close at 11.59 pm on Tuesday (11 April 2023).


4. MK Stalin writes to Amit Shah to include Tamil, other regional languages in CRPF recruitment test.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, opposing the non-inclusion of Tamil in the computer test for recruitment to the CRPF, saying the notification mandating only the use of English and Hindi was 'discriminatory' and 'unilateral.'


5. NEET 2023 application edit window closes tomorrow.

 “Since it is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardships to them, the candidates are informed to do the correction very carefully, as no further chance for correction will be given to the candidates,” NTA said in the notification. “…final correction shall be applicable only after payment of an additional fee if required.


6. No written exams till Class 2, draft NCF proposes.

The framework which is being developed on the lines of new National Education Policy (NEP) suggests that two important methods of assessment that are appropriate for the foundational stage are observations of the child and analysing artefacts that the child has produced as part of their learning experience. The draft notes that explicit tests and examinations are completely inappropriate assessment tools for the Foundational stage (preschool to class 2).
