1.CBSE directs schools to refrain from starting academic session before April 1.
The
Central Board of Secondary Education has warned the schools affiliated with the
Board from starting the academic session before April 1, 2023. The decision comes
after several schools were found to have started their new academic session in
a rush to complete the syllabus well before the timeline.
"It has been noticed that some of the affiliated schools have started
their academic session quite early in the year.
2. CBSE adopts National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage from Session 2023-24.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has asked the schools
affiliated with CBSE to implement the National Curriculum Framework for
Foundation Stage (NCFFS) from the current academic session 2023-24.
"CBSE has adopted the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage
- 2022 and the new structure of five-year education at the foundational stage
(from class Nursery to class II) will be introduced in the session 2023-24 in
those CBSE schools which offer education at the foundational stage to students
in the age group of 3-8 years," reads CBSE circular.

The All India Sainik School Admission Counselling, AISSAC 2023 has released the Round-1 Counselling Result for Sainik school 2023. Students who have registered for the first round of counselling can check and download the result from the official website at pesa.ncog.gov.in.
5. India's first govt-run robotic surgery training facility soon at AIIMS Delhi.
The robotic surgery training facility at AIIMS Delhi is also the first faculty-led procedural training facility in the Asia-Pacific region. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi is collaborating with India Medtronic Pvt Ltd to develop a robotic training facility.
6. Panjab University cancels Jhankar 2023 fest amid high alert, security reasons.
Panjab University, (PUCHD) Chandigarh has called off the
Jhankar festival scheduled from March 20 to 22, 2023, amid high alert and
security reasons in Chandigarh and Punjab.
In a letter from the Dean of student welfare, the officials stated that due to high alert in Chandigarh and Punjab, all events of Jhankaar festival, scheduled on March 20-22, have been canceled till further notice.
The first test of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture
2023 (NATA 2023) will be held on April 21. NATA is conducted for admission to
BArch courses in the participating institutes. While the first test will be
held on April 21, the second and third tests will be conducted on May 28 and
July 9.
The Council of Architecture (COA) will open the online application window to register for NATA 2023 ‘shortly’. When available, candidates can apply online at nata.in.
