The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued new guidelines for the establishment of medical colleges and related matters starting from the 2024-25 academic session.

In Nagaland three districts have temporarily closed schools for a week due to a surge in conjunctivitis cases. The affected districts are Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Nuiland, and the closure will last until August 26.
