The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released draft guidelines for recognizing degrees from foreign educational institutions. These guidelines exclude online or distance education degrees and professional qualifications in fields like Medicine and Law. 

2.IIT Madras calls for applications for ‘Out of the Box Thinking’ course.

IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation is offering a free online course called 'Out of the Box Thinking' (OOBT) through Mathematics. The course aims to nurture creative thinking and is open to participants in India and abroad.

3.Delhi University Completely Ragging Free Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh.

Delhi University's 2023-24 session has begun, and Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh has assured that the university is entirely ragging-free. He welcomed new undergraduate students and emphasized the respectful treatment of juniors by senior students. 

4.CBSE students will not be allowed to write board exams 2024 if subjects filled incorrectly in LOC.

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has issued a directive to schools and students to provide accurate information while filling out the 'List of Candidates' form for the upcoming 2024 Class 10 and 12 boardexams. Incorrect information could result in students being disqualified from the exams. 

5.No schools in afternoon, Delhi's plan to mitigate heat impact.

Delhi is implementing a new heat action plan to address the impact of extreme heat on vulnerable populations during peak summer months. The plan includes measures such as adjusting school timings to avoid the hottest hours and a pilot project to paint roofs white for indoor cooling.
