1.G20 Summit Delhi Schools And Colleges To Remain Shut From September 8-10.

In view of the G20 summit in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has announced that all schools and colleges in the city will remain closed from September 8 to 10. 

2.KIIT World School Radiates Joy in Krishna Janmashtami Celebration.
Students of KIIT World School celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, an annual commemoration of birth of the Hindu deity Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, in the school premises. Pre-Primary students were beautifully dressed up as Krishna and Radha.

3.Amid early education push, SCERT starts work on course for Anganwadi workers.

The Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training (MSCERT) is developing a six-month capacity-building course for Anganwadi workers. This initiative is in response to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework, which emphasize formalizing the education of children aged three to six. 

4.Maharashtra forms 16-member steering committee to restructure school education in line with NEP.

Maharashtra has formed a 16-member steering committee to align its school education system with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which introduces a new 5+3+3+4-year structure including pre-primary education. 

5.SC extends time till September 15 for grant of approval to over 750 private technical colleges in UP.

The Supreme Court has extended the cut-off date for granting affiliation to over 750 private technical institutions in Uttar Pradesh for the academic session 2023-24. This extension was granted to protect the academic year of around four lakh students. 

6.Centre launches Chandrayaan 3 MahaQuiz at mygov.in; best performer to get Rs 1 lakh cash prize.

The union government has launched Chandrayaan 3 MahaQuiz to enable people to explore the country’s lunar journey. The quiz has been launched on official website, isroquiz.mygov.in, following the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the south pole of the Moon.
