1. NEET UG 2023 admit cards released on neet.nta.nic.in.

On NEET admit cards, candidates can check the name and address of the examination centre, roll number and reporting time. They must reach the exam venue on or before this reporting time. The admit card also carries other important guidelines like what is allowed and what is not inside the exam hall, what is the dress code that candidates must follow, etc. The admit card could also have a section called self-declaration form, in which candidates have to write their health status and travel history.

Excitement was coursing in the veins of our students ever since we made the announcement of “Spring Mount Summer Melange 2023'. The students worked as individuals and in groups and planned the artifact stall. We wanted students to think and plan as creatively as possible. The objective behind organising this fair was to expose students to sales and marketing strategies.


3. IIT Roorkee professor first Indian to get EGU Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award.

Ankit Agarwal, an assistant professor at the Department of Hydrology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has been conferred with the Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award by the European Geosciences Union for his contributions to the field of hydroclimatic extremes. Professor Agarwal is the first Indian to receive the award. EGU president Irina M Artemieva conferred the award upon Agarwal during the EGU General Assembly 2023 held in Vienna, Austria, from April 23-28, 2023.


4. CBSE hosts skill module awareness webinars for Classes 6 to 8.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started a series of webinar lectures on various topics to increase students’ engagement in vocational education. From May 1 to 19, the CBSE will hold webinars on topics such as blue pottery, bakery, Khadi, block printing, mask making, Kashmiri embroidery, food preservation, mass media for students of Classes 6 to 8. The webinars can be accessed through the official CBSE YouTube channel as well.


5. Maharashtra: Cabinet nod for scholarships to 75 students for research in mangroves and marine biodiversity.

The Maharashtra cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to provide scholarships to a total of 75 students over a period of three years for carrying out research in mangroves and marine biodiversity in prestigious universities abroad. A statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said that as part of this exercise, every year 25 students will be given scholarships by the forest department's Mangrove and Marine Biodiversity Conservation Foundation.


6. 8 students, guard killed in school shooting by teen in Serbia's Belgrade.

At least eight students and a security guard were killed after a seventh-grade student opened fire in a Belgrade elementary school on Wednesday morning, news agencies quoted the sources from the interior ministry. One teacher is also reported to be injured in the shooting and the emergency services are on the spot. The interior ministry said that the police arrested a suspected minor, who fired several shots from his father's gun.
