Schools in Punjab will be closed on August 9 due to a state bandh called for by the Dalit and Christian community. The bandh is in solidarity with violent clashes in Manipur.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of North-Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy launched an initiative called 'Transforming Lives, Building Futures: Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in North-East'. 

6.NITIE to be renamed IIM Mumbai both houses of Parliament passes IIM (Amendment) Bill 2023.

The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) has been rebranded as the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) and is now included in the Schedule of the IIM Act.
