1. NCERT releases guidelines for schools, for early identification of mental health issues in students.

The guidelines for "Early identification and intervention for mental health problems in school going children and adolescents" have been released by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) following a mental health survey among school children.

6. Two students of IIT Hyderabad Die by Suicide.

Two students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, recently died by suicide. In its statement on the same, the institute termed it as an “unfortunate incident" and said it “came as a shock."  It said “We are with the students in this situation.


7. NIT Rourkela to conduct CSAB counselling for NIT & IIIT admissions this year.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela is organizing a centralized seat allocation process for admission to various undergraduate programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and School of Planning and Architecture this year, according to officials.

8. Educational institutions need to make students industry-ready, says Nirmala Sitharaman.

Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said India needs to understand what the industry requires and educational institutions need to produce students capable of getting into industry to serve the country's development goals.
