1.  Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam inaugurated at Somnath, Gujarat.

The 'Saurashtra Tamil Sangam' program was inaugurated at the Somnath. The inauguration was attended by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya. Union Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh, in his address, said, “This program, highlighting the bond between Tamil Nadu and Gujarat reflects the cultural diversity and strength of India.


2. Global Edge School students win the National level Championship on Robotics and Coding. 

Global Edge School is proud to be associated with TechRadiance, an initiative to provide the technological environment to the school students in association with the IITs, for the past seven years. Students have been attending workshops on Robotics and Coding. This year the workshop saw more than a hundred Global Edgers take part in the two-day workshop comprising of Arduino Robotics and Web Designing modules.


3. DoE issues notice to RDE over denial of admission to EWS, DG allotted students by private schools.

The Delhi government's Directorate of Education (DoE) on Monday issued a notice to the Regional Director of Education (RDE) over the alleged denying of admissions to a group of allotted weaker section or disadvantaged group (EWS/DG) category students by some private schools.


4. Madhya Private school receives bomb threat on email; police suspect 'prank'.

A private school in Madhya Pradesh's Indore allegedly received an email claiming that a bomb had been planted on its premises, police said on Monday. The police have, however, said that the email, which was received on April 14, appears to be "a prank". A message was sent to the email address of Delhi International School around 9 am on Dr B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary, claiming that a bomb had been planted on the premises and it would explode in three hours, Chandan Nagar police station in-charge Sunil Sharma said.


5. IIT Delhi launches executive programme for advanced product management; apply by April 23.

The department of management studies (DMS) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched an online programme titled 'Executive programme for advanced product management'. The programme is open for all graduate students and the ones willing to apply for the same will have to log on to timespro.com. Applications have been invited till April 23, 2023.


6. Sharda University sets up 'Jain Study Centre'.

Sharda University conducted the inaugural ceremony of the recently set up “Jain Study Centre” today on April 17, 2023. A statement from the university said that a Sharda Health City Superspecialty hospital was also inaugurated on the occasion. Both the study centre as well as the hospital were inaugurated at the Greater Noida campus. More than 1500 people ensured their presence at the inaugural ceremony, which was led by Jain guru Vijay Nityanand Surishwar.  


7. National Testing Agency Confirms No Change In Syllabus Post-NCERT Revisions.

CUET-UG has the potential to be a game-changer for both the students and the affiliated colleges. More than 200 universities, including as many as 47 central institutions and a large number of state, private, and deemed universities, have decided to take part in the CUET exam in 2023. The CUET test (2022) saw a total of 90 universities participate; the exam’s 200+ participant threshold is anticipated for the 2023 edition.
