The West Bengal government has introduced a centralised online system for admission to undergraduate courses in all state-run, aided or affiliated colleges and universities from the 2023-24 academic session, a notification said. The single-window platform will allow students to choose their preferred colleges and eliminate the need to pay admission fees multiple times in various institutions to block seats.

Three students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) got selected for a French government scholarship. Bansari Thakkar (research scholar), Rose Thomas (MA, 4th semester) and Samriti Jaswal (MA, 4th semester), department of French studies, have been awarded the prestigious Assistant d’anglais (English language assistant) scholarship 2023-24 of France. The scholarship is fully funded and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, France and it is mobilized by the French Institute, the Embassy of France in India.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is planning to send its school teachers for professional training outside the national capital, Mayor Shelly Oberoi said on Tuesday. Teachers at schools run by the Delhi government are sent out of the city for training and the MCD's plan is on similar lines. The mayor made the remarks after inaugurating a three-day science fair at Karol Bagh at Nigam Pratibha Vidyalaya JJ Shadipur Pandav Nagar.
5. Plaksha University announces MoA with Cornell University, USA, to facilitate student exchange.
Plaksha University signed a memorandum of association (MoA) with Cornell University, based in the United States of America (USA) today on April 25, 2023. The MoA was signed between both the universities to facilitate research collaborations, student exchange and global classrooms. A statement from the university also said that international academic exchange, development of academic and scientific relationships and supporting collaborative research activities would also be facilitated through the MoA. The Assam Gunotsav 2023 result on Tuesday announced by the state chief minister. Students were eagerly waiting to check their scores.
