On the occasion of Teachers Day 2022, the University Grants Commission (UGC) will launch three new research grants and two fellowship schemes today, i.e. September 5.

Board Member of Pramod Saighal Gurukul The School, Major General (Retd.) has been honoured by G.P.O on the occasion of 75th Independence Day celebrations by releasing a Rs 5 postal stamp on his name. Major General Pramod Saighal was the Chief Guest at a function by the G.P.O on ‘Horrors of Partition’.

 

3. Two Punjab school teachers implement modern ways of teaching to students.

Two school teachers in Punjab have implemented modern ways of teaching. It took over a decade for Barnala teacher Harpreet Singh to convert his dilapidated school building into a smart one, which now boasts of having the state's first kindergarten section, a language lab and LED screens with projectors.

 

4. Delhi govt-funded colleges write to DU VC alleging interference in autonomous colleges.

Colleges funded by the Delhi government have written to the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University alleging interference in their operations. The chairpersons of 28 colleges called out the practice of intruding in the decision-making of autonomous colleges.

Four people, including two students, were injured after being allegedly shot at in the Maharshi Dayanand University on Saturday with the police probing whether a monetary dispute led to the incident, as reported by officials.

 

7. IITs Establishing Offshore Campuses May Receive Royalty from Institute Established Abroad.

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) that are setting up their offshore campuses may receive royalty from the institute established abroad for using the brand name, a Centre government panel has recommended.
