inclusive learning environments.

8-9 October: Eligible
candidates can modify application details and submit college preferences
●
10 October: Colleges are
scheduled to publish their merit lists
●
10-12 October: Selected

Ministry Reports Progress in Inclusive Education
The Department of School Education and
Literacy under the Ministry of Education has conducted a nationwide screening
of its 30-minute Sensitisation and Orientation Module on Inclusive Education
for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) through the PRASHAST Portal.
More than 60,000 schools participated
in the initiative, while over 72 lakh teachers had already been sensitised
through the module. Available in 12 Indian languages, the programme is designed
for school heads, teachers, special educators and non-teaching staff.
The module uses practical examples and
interactive activities to familiarise school personnel with respectful and
appropriate ways to support children with special needs. The initiative
promotes a whole-school approach, recognising that inclusion involves everyone
who interacts with a child, from classroom teachers to administrative and
transport staff.
PRASHAST is also a school-based
screening tool designed to help identify children with 21 disability conditions
covered under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The initiative
aligns with the broader objective of making school environments safer, more
accessible and supportive.
EducationNewsNetwork brings together these updates to keep readers informed about
important examination announcements, admission deadlines, and developments in
school education. Candidates and institutions should refer to the respective
official portals for the latest instructions and any subsequent changes.
