India’s education sector has seen several important developments, ranging from online assignment submissions and new university infrastructure to initiatives promoting fairness in sports. Recent announcements from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the Mizoram government, the Union Ministries of Education and Sports, and the University of Jammu bring updates for students, educators, and academic institutions.
IGNOU Launches Online Assignment Submission Portal for December TEE 2026
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced the Online Assignment Management System (OAMS) for eligible students appearing in the December 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE). The facility allows learners enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes to submit their course assignments digitally.
The last date for assignment submission through OAMS is 20th November 2026, while the December TEE is scheduled to begin on 25th November.
Students can access the facility through the IGNOU Samarth portal and follow the instructions for their respective courses. Learners should check the required file format, upload the correct assignment and retain their submission acknowledgement, where available.
Those who have already submitted their assignments through their respective study centres or regional centres do not need to upload them again through OAMS. Checking the submission status beforehand can help prevent duplicate submissions.
