CAT 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on November 29th in three sessions. The examination will include three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.

Tamil Nadu Announces One Degree, Six Skills Programme
Tamil Nadu is preparing to introduce its One Degree, Six Skills programme from January 2027 for undergraduate students studying in 181 government arts and science colleges.
Under the initiative, students will receive training in one job-oriented skill during each semester alongside their regular degree programme. A total of 20 skill courses have been identified, from which colleges can select suitable offerings.
Each course is expected to involve around 30 to 45 hours of learning. Instead of relying solely on conventional written examinations, students will be assessed through practical exercises, individual competencies, and a final demonstrable output.
The programme will also encourage government colleges to collaborate with industries through Memoranda of Understanding. Such partnerships are expected to support curriculum development as well as provide students with exposure to internships and placement opportunities.
SBI Offers Free Online Courses
The State Bank of India has introduced a range of free online courses through the edX learning platform. The courses cover subjects including artificial intelligence, generative AI, behavioural finance, personal branding, content marketing, leadership, financial services and international trade.
These online learning opportunities can allow students and working professionals to develop additional knowledge alongside their existing education or employment. Learners can access course content without paying when they choose the audit option, while a verified certificate is available through a paid option.
The courses provide learners with an opportunity to explore emerging areas such as AI and digital business, as well as established fields including finance and banking.
IIM Jammu Plans Satellite Campus in Leh
IIM Jammu and the Ladakh administration have signed an MoU to establish a satellite campus in Leh. The proposed campus will offer a four-year BBA (Honours) programme with an initial intake of 60 students.
The programme is scheduled to commence in October. The proposed campus will expand access to management education for students in Ladakh and provide an opportunity to pursue a management programme within the Union Territory.
The initiative is among the latest efforts to expand higher education opportunities beyond established education centres. It is also expected to provide students with greater access to specialised academic programmes without having to relocate to other parts of the country.
