Several important updates have been announced across medical education, government recruitment, and competitive examinations, giving candidates key information about results, answer keys, hall tickets, and counselling. From the AIIMS Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 11 result to the revised NEET-SS qualifying percentile, here are the latest developments candidates need to know.
AIIMS NORCET 11 Prelims Result Announced
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has announced the result of the AIIMS NORCET 11 preliminary examination on September 18th, 2026. According to the result details, 1,00,804 candidates appeared for the Stage 1 examination, of whom 55,967 qualified for the next stage. AIIMS has stated that 12,638 candidates will be called for the Stage 2 examination. The NORCET 11 recruitment process is being conducted in two stages. The preliminary examination was held on September 18th, while the mains examination is scheduled for September 30th. Candidates who qualify for the preliminary stage will receive a separate admit card for the mains examination. The marks obtained in the mains examination will be considered for final selection.
SSC Grade C Stenographer LDCE Answer Key Released
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the final answer key and response sheets for the Grade C Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2025. The Commission also uploaded the marks and scorecards of candidates who appeared for the examination.
The documents were made available from September 17th at 6 pm. Candidates can log in to the official SSC website using their Registered ID and Password to view their response sheets, final answer key, and marks. The facility will remain available until October 2nd, 2026, at 6 pm.
Candidates have been advised to download or print the documents before the deadline, as the Commission has stated that individual requests for the documents will not be accepted after the facility closes.
TNPSC Group 1 Hall Ticket Released
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the hall ticket for the Group 1 Preliminary Examination 2026. The examination is scheduled for September 27th and will be conducted at 38 district centres across Tamil Nadu.
The preliminary examination will take place in a single shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. The paper will contain 200 questions carrying 300 marks, including 175 questions from General Studies and 25 questions from Aptitude and Mental Ability.
Candidates must download their hall tickets and carefully check the examination centre and other details before appearing for the test. The preliminary examination is a screening test, and its marks will not be counted towards the final order of merit for candidates who qualify for the Main Examination.
NEET-SS Qualifying Cut-off Reduced
In another significant development, the Centre has told the Supreme Court that the qualifying percentile for NEET-SS will be reduced from 50th to 30th percentile for the proposed Special Stray Vacancy Round. The decision follows the availability of 1,857 vacant super-speciality seats after the second round of counselling.
According to the Centre's submission, lowering the qualifying threshold could bring around 6,000 additional candidates into the counselling pool. The proposed Special Stray Vacancy Round is intended to fill seats that remain vacant after the regular counselling process.
The revised threshold will apply specifically to the proposed Special Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates should note that becoming eligible to participate in counselling does not guarantee admission to a super-speciality course.
